Field Day Fun!

FIELD DAY WAS SUCH A BLAST!

POST WRITTEN BY TOMMY AND JUSTIN

To start off, the top two most fun events were shoe fly and the water brigade.  Another fact is that our class was having a hard time doing the centipede and our class kept falling and trying and it was lots of fun! Then we beat the 4th graders at the long jump! Next, we had popsicles and if you would pull them apart then you would have 2 popsicles and they were really, really awesome. Then, we did frog it, where you have a four square ball and a toy frog and then you use the four square ball and put the toy frog on the ball and try to bounce it into the hoop. After that we did the hula hoop challenge. There  were 3 boys and 3 girls. The three boys were Justin, Conlan and Quintin. The three girls were Taegan, Ava and Paige. Then, in the middle of field day we had lunch. After, we did awards. Field day was such a BLAST!

Field Day Shirts Signatures

If your child would like to bring their field day shirt back to school to obtain signatures this week they are welcome to do so! Please keep in mind that they will be using sharpie and it unfortunately will not last forever.

Field Day is Monday

Don't forget to bring a water bottle and dress for the weather on Monday! Students will change into their field day shirts when they arrive to class.  As of now, it looks like it might be a bit of a chilly day so athletic pants might be best as they will be outside all day.  Please bring a light jacket as well.

It was so wonderful to meet all the of the second graders yesterday! They enjoyed the chorus show, loved eating cookies in the cafeteria, and had a blast doing math and GoNoodle activities with our class.  Our class also had a lot of fun during their extra recess and talking with their 2nd grade teachers.

Only ONE WEEK LEFT to meet our AR goal!

We only have one week left to meet our class goal of 12,000,000 words! We are so close with 11,478,072 words! If everyone could do their very best to read just a few more books in their Lexile Level and then take an AR we can meet our goal! Let's do this!

NWEA Testing Tomorrow

Don't forget to get a good night's rest and eat a nice, healthy breakfast tomorrow morning for NWEA testing! Also, students can wear their thinking caps and chew gum during the assessment! Most importantly, believe in yourself and have a positive attitude and you can do anything!

Certificate of Excellence

Today, our class was recognized for being so supportive of each other during DIBELS testing!  Mr. Harrises and Mrs. Kelly awarded our class with a Certificate of Excellence for 'being supportive of your fellow classmates and enthusiastic learners during DIBELS'.   Every student tried their absolute best to reach both the school goal and their personal goal but MOST importantly was the way that they came together as a class community! Way to go 3L!
