Maternity Leave

It is with mixed emotions that I announce that my last day before maternity leave will be on Thursday, May 4th.  While we are very excited to grow our family, I will greatly miss working with your children each day.  It has been an absolute pleasure to work with each and every one of your children, and I am saddened that I will not be with them until the end of the school year.

Miss Jillian Camire, my long term sub, was in today to meet with our class.  She observed our class routines and spent time getting to know the students.  She will also be visiting on Wednesday morning and for the whole day on Thursday to ensure a smooth transition for all students.

Please know that I fully intend to check my emails while I am on leave so please feel free to copy me on anything that you send to Miss Camire that you would like for me to be aware of.  I also plan to visit the class once things have settled down for us as a family.

I greatly appreciate all of the support and best wishes!  It has been a joy to work with you and your children this year.  Thank you for everything!

Optional Parent Input Form

Just a friendly reminder that optional parent input forms for class placement for next year are due on Friday, May 15th.  In order for your parental input to be considered, your forms must be returned by this date.  Late forms will not be considered in the placement process. 

Ady wins youth volunteer of the year!

Ady won the Hooksett Kiwanis Youth Volunteer or the Year award!! Our whole school community couldn't be more proud!

Pizza Taste Testing!

Our class was selected to taste test two new pizzas for our school! Students ate samples of cheese and garlic pizza and then came up with a list of pros and cons of the new pizza to decide if it should be served at HMS.  Students then wrote persuasive paragraphs to send to the Director of Nutrition Services, Cindy Nusbaum.  We are SO excited to know that our opinion might help to make a change at HMS as well as Underhill and Cawley Middle School! 

Expo Night is TONIGHT

Recently, our class hosted 3L Family Math Night. The two goals of this night were for families to enjoy a fun night of math together and to also recognize that high quality math games don't have to involve addition, subtraction, multiplication etc.  The best math games teach perseverance and problem solving while promoting a growth mindset.  Click the link below to check out the short movie that our class created and showcased at this fun event!
