And the trophy goes to...
Arushi! For the second time in a row, Arushi is our math challenge winner for the week. Way to go! Arushi gets to keep the trophy on her desk for another week!
Stuck!
Today, our class read Stuck. We learned that Floyd got lots of stuff stuck in his tree. Such as a kite, shoes, a duck, a truck, the house next door, the kitchen sink, and a giant whale. That's a lot of stuff, right? Then, we made our own movies! We used stop motion pictures to create the movies.

Teaching Mr. Rivet's 5th Grade Class!
Today, our class shared our paragraphs about how to be successful on the SBAC test with Mr. Rivet's class! Some ideas were to have a positive attitude, use test strategies, and take brain breaks. We then worked together to create a top-down web, which can be seen below. What a fun activity!
OPTIONAL gym homework
For anyone who would like some extra credit for gym, there is an optional assignment available. Students can draw, find a picture on the internet, or take a picture of themselves but they must include a picture of someone doing an overhand or underhand throw and write about the cues to help them identify if it is overhand or underhand. All assignments should be submitted by next Wednesday.
