Cleaning Wipes

Our class is in need or more clorox / antibacterial / wet wipes.  If you could please donate to our classroom we would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Measurement

Today, our class estimated the length and width of our class in meters.  We then worked together to find the actual size of our class.  We discovered that our class is 7 meters and 30 centimeters(or 730 centimeters) in width and 12 meters (or 1,200 centimeters) in length.  Ava and Brendan's estimations were the closest!

Next, we found the area and perimeter of our class using approximate measurements.  The area of our class is about 84 square meters and the perimeter of our class is about 38 meters.  Finally, we discussed how this information could be useful in real life.  For example, if we needed to paint our classroom or put in new flooring we would need to know this information.  What a fun time it was!

Transition Forms

Another friendly reminder that transition forms must be turned in by this Friday, May 6th.  Requests given after this date will not be taken into account so please be sure to fill out the form and return it to school by Friday.

Today was such a fantastic day! A huge thank you to all of the chaperones for generously donating their time!  

Field Trip Tomorrow

Tomorrow is our field trip to Head School!  Please make sure to bring a bagged lunch and dress for the weather as we will be outside for a portion of the day.
