Morning Routines

Check out these pictures of our class working hard during calendar time. Each morning, students participate in different math activities to start our day. Some attend student led calendar, others play fact fluency games or use Khan Academy, and students who want extra help can work with Mrs. Largy in a small group.

SBAC Schedule

Our class will be testing on the following dates:

Students can wear their 'thinking caps' (hats) to school on any day that we have testing! There is no time limit for the test.  Students that do not finish during our time slot will complete their test with another class during another session.  Please make sure to eat a good breakfast on the morning of the test and most importantly have a POSITIVE attitude!

SCA

This week, students learned about the Chickadee, Barred Owl, and Loon. They completed different exploration activities and used kitchen utensils to find the best representation of each bird's beak depending on what it eats.

Wear your thinking caps!

Any day that we have testing, students can wear 'thinking caps'! Feel free to wear baseball hats, sun hats, winter hats, crazy hats etc. on any day that our class has testing!

Khan Academy

Click here for Khan Academy!  This is a great website for extra math practice or math enrichment! Several students in our class already have usernames and passwords since they use this site during calendar in the morning, but you can set up your own account at home too.  Watch videos, get some extra practice, or challenge yourself with Khan Academy!
