A Great First Week!
I hope that everyone had a terrific first week of school! Students: be sure to complete and return your forms on Tuesday. Also, don't forget to talk with your moms, dads, aunts, grandparents, etc. to find out what country your family originates from for our cafeteria flags. Last by certainly not least, have a terrific weekend! This week was a bit crazy as we learned new policies and procedures, but next week we will begin to follow our regular schedule. I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for us in 3L!

Day One!
What a great first day we had! I enjoyed meeting all of my new students and can already tell that we are going to have a wonderful year full of lots of learning and fun! Here are a few things that we did on our first day of third grade:
- Practiced friendly greetings at morning meeting
- Worked collaboratively to create our class rules
- Completed a Find a Friend scavenger hunt to get to know our classmates
- Practiced the fire drill procedure
- Made masterpieces in art
Get lots of rest tonight! I can't wait to see what day two has in store!

First Day Jitters!
Tomorrow is the first day of school, and I am sure that many students are experiencing first day jitters. Here is a great poem that I found about being nervous for the first day of school.
Even teachers get nervous about the start of a school year! Keep in mind that we are a class community. We are all in this together! Let's support each other and have a great first day!

Success!
Classroom Visitation was a success! I loved meeting all of the new third graders and was so excited when many of my former students stopped by! I hope that everyone had a great time and is feeling ready for the start of the school year. The first day of school can be a little bit scary, (even for teachers!), but we are a community, everyone is here to help and support each other through it. See you on Thursday!

Classroom Visitation
Be sure to attend our Classroom Visitation Day on Tuesday, August 26th at Hooksett Memorial School from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. I am so excited to meet and learn about all of the new third graders! Here's a fun fact about Mrs. Largy... I have two cats that I absolutely adore! Their names are Caesar and Brew! Here are some picture of them enjoying outdoor time on their leashes!
WELCOME BACK!
It's almost time for the first day of school! I am so excited to begin my second year at Hooksett Memorial School and cannot wait to meet all of the students that will be a part of our class community.
